Parking: There is no parking on either 40th Street or Meridian Street. You can pull into the driveway and up to the front door (facing Meridian Street) to unload passengers and food. Front door parking is limited to handicap, and especially NOT on the yellow lines. Then take the driveway south and west to the 40th Street exit. Turn right (west) and park in the Martin Luther King Community Center’s lot. Walk back to the front door or ring the buzzer at the backdoor by the parking garage.
Name Badges
For years everyone attending has used paper name badges with glue backing. But we have the opportunity to have nice permanent, magnetic name badges. By eliminating the paper badges as much as possible we can reduce environmental waste, have less badges falling off, have better legibility, increased branding, increased sense of belonging, and reduce trips to the office supply store. The new badges will have our logo and your name. You are welcome to take your badge home with you or leave it in a container that we will bring to each party. The plan is to make one large initial order – which will get us a price break on the per badge manufacturing cost. Badges will be made for all current dues-paying members. There will be no cost to the individual member as it will be paid for from Kenn William’s bequest. After the initial order, when we get new members, we will periodically place orders for new ones to be made. Each of you will receive an individual email showing your dues payment status and ask you to proof your name. If you are a couple and we only have one email address for you, please proof your partner’s name, too. At our parties, we will continue to have available the sticking paper badges for new prospective members.
NEW COVID Mask & Vaccine policy
The level of COVID has dramatically declined in the last 2 months and the CDC has issued new, less restrictive mask recommendations. Beginning with the March 2022 party, Fellowship Indy will be “mask optional”. We will continue with the requirement that all in attendance have a third shot of either Pfizer or Moderna, with the exception that anyone who has had and recovered from COVID can attend. The CDC says “Someone with an asymptomatic COVID-19 case can get vaccinated as soon as their isolation ends. You don't need a negative viral test before vaccination," says Dr. Phillips. One caveat: If you received monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma, you will need to wait 90 days before getting the vaccine. Let us know if you need to discuss a special situation.
